We are seeking a Material Control Technician who will be responsible for receiving, storing, and managing frozen tissue samples, supplies, and finished products in compliance with both internal and external requirements. The role involves coordinating the accurate and timely flow of materials from warehouse inventory to production areas, implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system, and performing various other duties to ensure efficient operations.
ResponsibilitiesReceive, store, and manage frozen tissue samples, supplies, and finished products.Coordinate the timely and accurate flow of materials from warehouse inventory to production areas.Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.Store, issue, or prepare samples, verifying lot numbers, quantities, release statuses, and any other unique identifiers using good documentation practices.Check materials against packaging lists, invoices, freight bills, or other pertinent documentation to ensure conformity and accuracy.Deliver materials to processing areas in a timely manner, maintaining the proper flow of raw materials and other time-sensitive supplies.Maintain and sustain organized workspaces for tissue, supplies, and finished goods.Maintain accurate records and reconcile inventory errors.Ensure personal safety and adherence to safety guidelines.Supply materials to functional areas or move materials to and from incoming areas to maintain efficient shipping and receiving operations.Comply with applicable FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA regulations, policies, procedures, or guidelines.Participate in daily stand-up meetings, continuous improvement projects, and adhere to established work practices such as Kanban signals and 5S initiatives.Essential SkillsQuality controlData entryComfortable handling frozen tissue samplesExperience in tissue sample processingAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required; Associate's in Science preferredExperience handling regulated materials is a plusPrior medical or healthcare experience is a plusExperience in a regulated environment is highly desirableDesire for long-term positionComfortable standing for long periodsAbility to lift up to 35 lbs
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
