The Material Control Technician II will transport product in the warehouse and shop using a power industrial truck (PIT). The role will load and unload delivery trucks, participate in the packaging process, record the product received and put product in the proper shelf spot. The Material Control Technician II ensures the material is received and delivered to fulfil orders. The Material Control Technician II will perform independent project tasks and collaborate with customers and team members. This position is located in Allen Park, MI.

As a Material Control Technician II, you will be responsible for:

Loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelvesReading work orders and following verbal instructionsIdentifying, inspecting, and tracking incoming and outgoing parts for quality, quantity, and accuracyPerforming inventory control audits and reporting discrepanciesOperating an industrial truckLoading materials and installing strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transitCommunicating with shop floor and supplying the build floor with material build kitsAssisting in training team membersCleaning, organizing, removing packing dunnage, and keeping the work area clean

To be considered as a Material Control Technician II, you will need:

High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 4 years of material control experienceGood customer service, reliable attendance, and ability to work overtimeDetail oriented, effective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to obtain or qualify for an industrial truck licenseAbility to read, count and communicate inventory data both written and verbal, follow directions, learn new skills and technologies and multi-task in a fast-paced work environmentIntermediate computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)A successful candidate may also have:Valid Driver’s LicenseAbility to work overtime as needed including weekends
