THE WORK
- Work independently or as part of a team and assist leadman and/or foreman as necessary.
- Instruct and assist other employees in everyday job functions.
- Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Planning, Quality and Evaluation to determine parts requirements for overhaul, repair, modification and/or refurbishment.
- Determine parts types or sources, i.e. procurement of Customer Furnished Equipment (CFE), Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) or customer-supplied items.
- Research part number problems including but not limited to supersedes, alternates or controlled items.
- Process material requisitions from Part Acquisition requests (PAR) and/or shortage lists. Build or prepare kits for production.
- Perform data entry as required to maintain proper accountability of materials to contracts including customer supplied GFE and parts.
- Access specified systems, check various inventory receipt and disbursement menus and related inquiry screens for proper account, location site, material class, work order release, pick list, cashing etc.
- Operate material handling equipment including, but not limited to hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, tug, overhead crane etc.
- Check all shipments received for proper number of boxes, containers and complete delivery receipts, open shipping containers to check packing slips against contents.
- Prepare paperwork/electronic documentation and preserve and prepare for shipment all parts and components being returned to customers or suppliers.
- Deliver items to production departments.
Load and unload freight carriers and coordinate shipments with freight carriers.
- Support contract proposals by researching parts requirements to determine source, affectivity and correct part numbers.
- Perform inventories as required to support company and contract requirements.
- Perform data entry as required to perform P.C.A.R.S.S. functions as required by customer. Process parts and reports necessary to comply with N.M.R.R., R.O.D. and Q.D.R. requirements.
- Occasionally interface with the external customer as required.
- Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
- As required, segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.

You are responsible for performing a wide variety of kitting, expediting, shipping, receiving, P.C.A.R.S.S. (Plant Clearance Automated Reutilization Screening System) and/or material tracking duties necessary in one or more of several areas to support overhaul, repair, modification and/or refurbishment of aircraft.

Basic Qualifications:
- Professional experience operating material handling equipment including, but not limited to hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, tug, overhead crane etc.
- Ability to load and unload freight carriers and coordinate shipments with freight carrier
- Previous exposure delivering items to production various departments in a manufacturing environment.
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience driving forklift is desirable.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
