We have an excellent career opportunity for a Material Controller to join our Facilities team in Madison, WI.

Position Summary:

As part of the Facilities team, you will process purchase requests for facilities and maintain spare parts stock inventory, manage database and effectively support the Facility Management Department in processing material requisitions and repairs.

Candidates given best consideration will have the following qualifications:

A background in industrial maintenanceExperience with vendor/supplier coordination and is adept at collaborating with cross-functional teamsAbility to troubleshoot and identify problems quickly

Essential Duties:

Coordinate and expedite stock and non-stock material requisitions for maintenance repair.Work closely with FM Help Desk and maintenance supervisors to coordinate delivery schedules, provide purchase order information and resolve invoice discrepancies.Responsible for coordinating and carrying out the delivery or pickup of parts and equipment, whether purchased or in need of repair, from local vendorsLocates, tags and records materials and spare parts in parts room.Review material usage and ensure needed materials are on hand when needed.Maintain minimum and maximum inventory records on stocked items and performs inventory and cycle counts.Maintains tools and small equipment in the tool room storage area for use by maintenance personnel.Issue items requested by maintenance personnel and maintain individual tool records and usage of maintenance personnel.Maintain stock room areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition.Maintain information on tools and equipment location.Search for parts in Facility Drawings, O&&M manuals, parts catalogs and vendor supplied information.Maintain vendor relationships to ensure cost effective purchases.Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalentMust have a Valid Driver's License and good driving recordMust be at least 21 years’ oldStrong communication skills; both written and verbalStrong documentation skillsAbility to navigate MS office systems and purchasing software
