Material Coordinator
**Job Title: Material Coordinator** **Job Description** The Material Coordinator handles aluminum extrusions and other inventory used in commercial buildings. Individuals in this material handling position work as part of a team to ensure material is received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped to clients accurately per schedule. They will grab material out of semi-trucks/loading trucks. A lot of products will get moved with a forklift. Once on the racks, they will move the material to different locations depending on the work order. They will complete around 100 work orders a day as a team. **Responsibilities** + Handle aluminum extrusions and other inventory used in commercial buildings. + Receive, store, pick, pack, and ship materials to clients accurately per schedule. + Move products using a forklift. + Relocate materials to different locations based on work orders. + Execute approximately 100 work orders a day as a team. + Perform basic math, reading, and computer tasks. + Communicate effectively with team members. + Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. from the ground and above your head. + Stand for 8-12 hours. + Work in a fast-paced environment. + Manage time effectively. + Use scanners and barcoding devices as required. + Contribute to a safe and enjoyable work environment. + Maintain excellent attendance and performance records. + Work independently or as part of a team. + Work quickly and accurately. + Follow work orders to determine proper rack placement for materials. **Essential Skills** + Basic math, reading, and computer skills. + Effective communication skills. + Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. + Ability to stand for 8-12 hours. + Strong time management skills. + Experience using scanners and barcoding devices. + Excellent attendance and performance records. + Ability to work independently or as part of a team. + Ability to work quickly and accurately. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Forklift training will be provided. + Experience in material handling, production, warehouse packing, inventory, and shipping. + Willingness to work overtime as needed. **Why Work Here?** We offer growth opportunities from Tier 1 to Tier 3 with potential pay raises up to $2.00. We provide a $2.00 shift premium for 2nd shift, a newly renovated cafeteria, an onsite nurse and clinic, and a positive work environment. **Work Environment** The work environment is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually loud, requiring hearing protection. The facility is very clean and, while not air-conditioned, has excellent air control with fans and open doors and windows. PPE including safety glasses, protective gloves, safety shoes, and single-use earplugs is provided. The work station is about 30 feet from receiving, with some tasks requiring walking and pushing a loaded cart up to 30 feet.
