Job Title: Material Coordinator

Job Overview:

Pay: $19-20 per hour

Shift:1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Overtime available on Saturdays) or 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM (Monday -Thursday)

Job description:

As a Material Coordinator, you will ensure seamless material flow by coordinating activities and resolving issues between purchasing, engineering, production, and suppliers. You will maintain accurate inventories, manage part buffers, and uphold ISO standards while addressing floor problems and supplier non-conformances. Additionally, you will support BPD/Scorecard achievement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives like PFEP.

Responsibilities:

Ensure all data/information for flawless material flow are available.Coordinate material flow activities.Support BPD/Scorecard achievement.Act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, production, quality, logistics, and suppliers to resolve issues and provide support.Resolve overflow conditions.Ensure correct inventories for production material.Interface with suppliers, LLP, and plant floor on material issues.Monitor pull systems through periodic audits.Respond to and resolve floor problems such as min/max conditions, standard pack discrepancies, packaging compliance, labeling issues, misuse, and discrepancy reports.Resolve supplier non-conformances.Manage part buffers.Participate in PFEP (Plan for Every Part).Issue SPPS (Supplier Problem Process Sheets) for various issues and follow up on supplier responses.Manage material flow on source changes.Maintain all plant material records.Investigate record errors.Investigate part histories to identify misuse, specification problems, and unaccounted scrap.Maintain ISO standards.
