We are looking for an experienced and careful Material Coordinator (Forklift) to join our team. As an employee at MEC, you will be responsible for transporting incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas as assigned.

 

A role like this comes with some important responsibilities, some of those responsibilities include:

 

Coordinates material movement between departments per the routing requirements.Operate forklift, electrical hoist or other power-driven equipment to load or move materials.Load or unload material onto or from pallets, trays, or shelves. Process required paperwork using RF (Radio Frequency) system when/where available. Supply production area with needed materials from inventory.Sorts questionable materials per Quality Control’s request.Prints and distributes pick tickets and performs computer transactions as necessary.Organize sequence of pulling material and relays information to Material Support.Ensures production schedules are met by timely and accurate processing and movement of goods.  Assists during daily peak times to include operating material handling equipment and perform all necessary computer transactions.Ensures good communication and feedback with management, employees on their shift and between shifts.Evaluate, recommend, and implement changes in the department as necessary. Works with production Supervisors, Production Support Coordinator’s & Inventory Control to make effective changes in Systems and Procedures.

What Does It Take to Be a Fit for This Role?

Having Forklift experience is preferred.Excellent coordination.Ability to understand work orders and follow instructions.Ability to understand and follow at MEC safety policies and procedures. Ability to left up to 50 lbs at a time. This position involves a lot of bending, twisting and lifting.
