Description:Determine inspection operations by directive, preliminary engineering, sketches, blueprints, specifications and Standard Practice, interpret data printouts to verify configuration and other pertinent specifications are acceptable. Verify installation and precision mating/fitting which have been based on these layouts for satisfactory workmanship, functioning and completion. Inspect receiving inspection, in-process and completed/final detail parts, and paint to insure quality requirements are met.

Inspects and approves conforming parts and inspects/accepts rejected items after rework or repair. Completes or approves records of operations performed and maintains inspection reports and records as required. May perform surveillance inspection, material review work and other related inspection assignments incidental to the primary duties described herein.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to:
• Read and interpret Engineering drawings.

• Use precision measuring equipment.

• Have a working knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Experience in inspection of paint processes, Low Observable coatings familiarity is a plus.

• Experience working with materials and specification for fabrication of aerospace parts

• Experience interpreting and applying various types of engineering information

• Experience using light metrology equipment

• Previous Aviation experience

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
