SUMMARY

Locates and move materials to specified areas, using carts, hand trucks or pallet jacks as required, move materials and parts between work areas in order to situate the shipments according to destinations, pre-determined schedules and priorities. Keeps all related records of outgoing shipments. Reviews cargo and in-transit reports. Box and package material for shipment, pack tri-walls, skids and containers utilizing space available. Creates manifests, commercial invoices and all necessary import documents. Confers with supervisors to determine the best cost effective and efficient means to ship parts and materials. Create shipping labels using the shipping software. Coordinate carrier pick-ups for small package and oversize cargo shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

Track Status of all materials/parts required, on order, or out for repair.Sends out parts for exchange, core returns, and repairs.Expedites movement of parts between customers, vendors, and the sites downrange.Communicates priorities among all parties.Keep Project Manager informed of all material situations.Keep records of all material situations throughout the project.Ensure overall customer satisfaction.Understands and follows company procedures and work instructions.Processes shipping requisitions of materials and inventory to CONUS and OCONUS locations, as required.Uses company policies and procedures for packing components and materials into boxes, tri-walls, andpallets.Fully understand and adhere to all ITAR regulations.Trains other employees in proper procedures.Plans and coordinates with Shipping Supervisor and Material Transportation Coordinator(s) for any large or complex shipments.Enters and updates inventory information as required.Operates forklifts, pallet loaders, pallet jacks, packing machines, package scales, and other equipment related to the shipping process.Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements.Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of an MRPT.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain an MRPT.High school diploma or equivalent.2 years of previous supply and logistics experience.Exercises judgement within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to multi-task.Proficient Microsoft skills, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio.Good communication skills are a must.

Preferred:

Dangerous Goods training.
