Material Generalist



Position Summary 

Under direct supervision, the Material Generalist is responsible for maintaining inventory controls, material handling, receiving, putting away parts, and picking parts in time for production needs. The goal is to ensure the smooth, damage-free, and timely material flow to support our operations in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.” 

This position is on-site in Torrance, CA and Carson, CA. 

Essential Functions 

Manages inventory levels within MRP and transactions for inventory moves  Manages advanced kitting system (Kanban, line-side replenishment, etc.)  Maintains accurate inventory counts and storage locations within ERP/MRP  Proactively reports minimum stock levels  Supports inventory tracking and audits  Follows relevant processes and procedures  Performs other duties as assigned 
Minimum Qualifications One (1) year inventory experience 

Skills/Abilities and Attributes 

Proficient using Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Access)  Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines  Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently  Excellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines and to meet deadlines 

Physical Demands/Work Environment 

Must be able to lift 25 to 30 lbs. regularly  Must be able to lift, stand, climb, bend, grasp, sit, pull, push, stoop, stretch, and carry to perform the functions of this position  Must be able to speak clearly and distinctly and hear and be heard and understood in person and by telephone  Must be able to work an early schedule and work overtime when needed  Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the production environment 
Compensation
The starting pay range for this position is between $20.00 - $28.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
