SUMMARY: Performs a variety of warehouse functions including, but not limited to: ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping of: food; packages; mail; materials; supplies; tools; equipment; and/or parts. Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, reach trucks, lifts, or other handling equipment to move material to and from various vehicles of transportation. Maintains warehouse equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
+ Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with our guests and fellow associates.
+ Observes and promotes operational safety in compliance with safety policy manual
+ Communicates clearly and concisely both orally and in writing (including electronic communication)
+ Prior experience working in a warehouse
+ Knowledge of operating a forklift or
+ Certification in forklift operation
+ Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery
+ Data entry, math and computer skills
+ Proficient in computer operations sufficient to maintain inventory records and communicate electronically
+ Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds
+ Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent time management and organizational skills
+ Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
+ Conveys materials and items between main warehouse complex and other designated areas as directed.
+ Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
+ Sorts, stores, and rotates perishable goods in refrigerated facilities using FIFO (First-In-First-Out) System.
+ Labeling every cooler product with the receipt date and placing them accordingly
+ Executes requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to appropriate users.
+ Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 80 pounds
+ Ability to work independently and safely
+ Ensuring that all stocks received comply with the quality standards of the organization.
+ Marks materials with identifying information and conducts random inventory verifications.
+ Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
+ Weighs and/or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
+ Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process
+ Removes items and materials from bales, crates, and other containers.
+ Initiates and maintains records to account for materials or items received or distributed.
+ Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
+ Handling returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication
+ Performs computer based inventory transactions
+ Operates delivery vehicles and/or warehouse equipment, and performs preventative maintenance
+ Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance
+ Completes warehouse forms as needed to maintain operation records
+ Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully complete the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED; with 0 – 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Proficient in computer operations sufficient to maintain inventory records and communicate electronically.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and/or small group situations to guests, clients, vendors, and other associates of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. The position exists in a casino work environment where there is occasional exposure of the associate to noise and cigarette smoke from the casino floor. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must obtain and maintain a New York State certification and St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Work Permit which requires a background check to be used solely for employment purposes. Must possess a valid and clean Driver’s License. Failure to disclose required information will result in rescinding the job offer. Successful candidates for employment must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment being confirmed. In case of a positive result, the candidate is not eligible for employment with the Mohawk Gaming Enterprises. Employment will not begin until process is complete.
