Material Handler 1st Shift
**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, locating and verifying materials, receiving and placing materials in stock, preparing finished stock for shipment, documenting product shipments, and maintaining material-handling equipment. This position requires the use of hand and power tools, and candidates should have experience with these tools, whether in a professional or personal capacity. **Responsibilities** + Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory. + Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production and sales orders. + Ensure inventory accuracy when handling materials and supplies. + Receive credit-return material, verify materials and quantity; place materials in stock. + Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product. + Document product shipment by recording units shipped. + Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. + Assemble shipping crates for finished products using hand and power tools. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift 50 pounds + Experience with hand and power tools + Attention to detail for inventory accuracy + Basic carpentry skills + Forklift operation skills **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in assembling shipping crates + Ability to work in a team environment + Strong organizational skills **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan, and paid holidays. This is a collaborative environment where safety and efficiency are prioritized. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dundee, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
