Job Description

Shift Time: 3:00PM - 11:30PM 

Move raw material (wire and components) to machines as needed.Move and weigh up product from machines to staging and shipping areasMove raw material to designated location in facilityOrganize empty tubs and wire carriers into cargo boxesReads product processing form or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be movedOperates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and productsLoads and unloads materials on or from pallets, trays, racks, or carrierLoads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transitCounts, weighs, and records numbers of unites of materials moved or handles on interplant form and key-in pan tickets for production reportingConveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areaAttaches identifying tags or labels to materials and make ID tags from information provided by suppliersPrepares purchase blanks for shipments by removing from container and dumping parts into bins and attaching proper documentsAssigns lot numbers to raw material and maintains required recordsSign for packages and bring to proper locations using scanner and alphanumeric codesRemove scrap and record weightPreforms daily preventative maintenance and documents findingsOther duties as instructed

QualificationsHigh School diploma or the equivalent required; Associates degree preferred1-3 years’ experience working in a plant/warehouse setting, experience in material handling preferredContinuous Improvement MindsetAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsBasic math skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divideAbility to operate computer and familiarize Microsoft Office SuiteStand up and Sit Down Fork lift experience requiredAbility to lift up to 50 poundsUnderstanding and compliance with safety rules and regulationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity with QAD ERP System
