Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our shipping department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working in the warehouse and production areas, ensuring the efficient movement of materials and finished goods. This role involves supplying materials to production lines, tracking inventory, skid wrapping, palletizing products, and using various equipment such as RF scanners and forklifts.
ResponsibilitiesSupply materials to the production lines.Keep track of material flow and inventory.Skid wrap and palletize products.Use an RF scanner for inventory management.Operate a reach truck to load trucks and transport materials.Occasionally use a cherry picker.Ship products using UPS and FedEx.Essential Skills1 year of forklift experience.Ability to read, write, and speak English.Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds if required.Computer literacy.Attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience as a material handler in a manufacturing setting.OSHA Forklift Certification.Basic knowledge of JDE systems and kanban.Experience working in a lean manufacturing setting.Why Work Here?

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover Park, Illinois.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
