**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating a stand-up forklift (Crown Brand) and will be responsible for handling products weighing up to 2000lbs. The role involves preparing orders for shipment, checking product quality, and loading products into semi-trailers. The Material Handler will spend a significant amount of time operating the forklift but will also frequently be required to pull, pick, and stage products. **Responsibilities** + Operate a stand-up forklift (Crown Brand) for up to 75-90% of the day. + Prepare orders for shipment using a computer-generated work order. + Check product and load into semi-trailers for shipment. + Ensure that product/shipment meets quality specifications. + Perform safety checks on various warehouse equipment, including stand-up forklifts, man-up, and order pickers. + Frequently jump on and off the forklift to adjust (push/pull pallets while bending). **Essential Skills** + 6+ months of recent experience operating a stand-up forklift (preferably Crown Brand, but not required). + Comfortable reading and writing work reports to pick and pull products. + Proficient in using computers. + Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. + Able to stand on their feet all day in steel-toed boots. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in material handling, order picking, shipping, and stocking. + Experience using a pallet jack and other warehouse operations. **Why Work Here?** We offer a clean manufacturing environment with tuition reimbursement and various health-related benefits tailored to meet the needs of you and your family. The Distribution center is 248,489 square feet and was recently separated from the Manufacturing building as of February 2024. The position is for the 1st shift, with working hours from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required up to 2 hours before the shift, and there is mandatory Saturday overtime once a month, which is communicated well in advance. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.25/hr.
