Description Position at SBM Management

SBM Management is looking for a Material Handler! The Material Handler will be responsible for keeping assigned recycle and reuse material areas clean and in an orderly condition. This role will work successfully with co-workers, customers, contractors, and others. The handler should understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written. The individual will also be responsible for explaining how to, where to or why materials go for reuse and recycle to employees, customers, and contractors.

Responsibilities

Comply with safety rules, policies, and proceduresStop at risk behavior of others and selfPerform work assignments in a team with other employeesPerform repetitive tasksMaintain clean work areaFollow all company procedures, policies, and rulesTake direction and respond to supervisionTalk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional mannerMaintain logs and schedulesSupport shift lead in completing punch-list itemsUse proper personal protective equipmentPresent a professional appearance and conductUnderstand customer service and satisfactionUnderstand reporting systems and importance of the environmentUnload FOUPs and wafers from delivery trucksUnwrap and sanitize new product prior to entry of FabSegregate different models of FOUPs and FOSBs and group accordingly in staging areasCount inventory of both dirty and clean FOUPs and report out to customer dailyTransport clean FOUPs and wafers to appropriate wafer start roomsCommunicate with customer when certain materials are running low and are needed on siteWrap final product and prepare for pick up on docks materials and containers and keeps records of total amount of waste collected

Qualifications

Six months to one year recycling in a company environment or equivalent experience and/or training. Prefer H.S. diploma or GED or equivalent combination of training and experience. Completed all safety and task training certificationsMay be required to have a valid driver’s license with clear MVRForklift certification may be required. May require training as a Hazardous Waste Handler per RCRAAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to speak effectively to customers, co-workers, contactors, and team members.  Very good decision-making skills.  English preferred, Bi-Lingual in Spanish a plusKnow how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.  Know the American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and measures such as, cups, pints, quarts, gallons, etc. Ability to understand bar, line, graphs, and pie chartsAbility to apply good judgment when carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving changes in standardized procedures and situations.  Recognize and understand safety signs and building warning systems. Understand safety requirements.Understand & meet company handbook expectations.  Ability to learn the operation and care of equipment. Work is routine & repetitiveAbility to change tasks or assignments outside normal duties.  Ability to use hand and power tools, such as hammer, sludge hammer, crowbars, drills, saws, and grinders

Shift: Wednesday - Saturday 6:00AM - 4:30PM, Sunday - Wednesday 6:00AM - 4:30PM

Compensation: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
