This position reports to

Warehouse Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct all activities related to the handling of parts and semi-finished or final products in the warehouse or to/from the production line. Each day, you will be responsible for sorting and arranging material for storage as per guidelines. You will also showcase your expertise by performing other routine activities according to established procedures.You will be mainly accountable for:Sorting and arranging material for storage as per guidelines.Executing routine activities according to established procedures.Picking components from stock for dispatch and final packing on pallets.Transporting boxes, and being responsible for various other collection, storage, and warehouse activities.This position works 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday, with OT as needed to meet customer demand.

Qualifications for the role

\tMust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily\tHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)\tAbility to learn, understand and follow company requirements for employee safety, product quality and productivity.\tAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.\tAbility to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizations\tAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. \tAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs\tAbility to comprehend and communicate detailed written or verbal instructions.\tAbility to solve problems in a standardized situation with some variables.\tAbility to work in a high noise environment that requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting or pushing weights up to 50 pounds.\tFlexible in terms of shift scheduling, including scheduling for weekends, overtime and holiday shifts.Preferred Qualifications:\tHave a strong commitment and ability to follow health and safety rules and procedures and utilize all required safety equipment.\tDetail oriented with good analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).\tKnowledge of Inventory software and Manufacturing software\tMinimum of one-year experience in driving powered industrial forklifts and/or reach trucks – and/or experience in operating pallet jacks or order picking.\tAbility to use company mainframe computer systems(s).\tAbility to run weight counting scales.\tGood math and problem solving skills.\tAbility to make quality/ repair decisions based on visual inspections of products within prescribed guidelines.
