Material Handler
**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** The Advanced Materials Handler performs the physical and administrative functions required to ship, receive, store, cycle count and distribute materials, parts, supplies, chemicals, and equipment. The incumbent may unpack and check goods received against purchase order invoices and storage specifications; maintain records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items; lift heavy items, operate a forklift and other equipment; prepare goods for shipment and maintain records of shipped goods; examine, stock, and distribute materials; and may prepare kitting packages for assembly production. Moderate empowerment and initiative are exercised and required in resolving problems and contributing recommendations. The role is responsible for synchronizing packing activities with the ordering and delivery of material in support of packing instruments and sub-assemblies. Knowledge of Agile, Data 3, and Oracle systems is required. The use of method sheets for legacy products, with adherence to applicable procedures and lean practices, is essential. **Hard Skills** + Knowledge of Agile, Data 3, and Oracle systems + Ability to operate a forklift + Experience with shipping and receiving processes + Record-keeping and inventory management skills **Soft Skills** + Problem-solving skills + Initiative and empowerment + Attention to detail **Job Type** This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Indianapolis, Indiana. **Work Environment** SHIFT: 1st - 8:00am-4:30pm M-F ($18.50). BREAKS: Two 15 min. breaks + 30 min lunch. PPE: lab gown, safety glasses, gloves, steel toes. RULES: no phones. The facility has a 24/7 security team on site and is under camera supervision that is monitored 24/7.
