ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Moves freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment. + Reads work orders and determines work assignments and material or equipment needs. + Maintains equipment storage areas, monitors inventory levels, and ensures that inventory is protected. + Creates work instructions and procedures based on best practices and coordinates training activities for junior material handlers. + Operates office machines, such as photocopies and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers. + Maintains and updates inventory, database systems, either manually or using a computer. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE + HS diploma or GED required. + 2 to 4 years of experience required. + Previous forklift operating experience and/or stockroom experience preferred. Or equivalent combination of education and experience COMPETENCY SUMMARY + Complete tasks with minimal of errors. + Report to work on time and communicates schedule changes promptly to supervisor. + Apply knowledge, skills, and abilities to progress team goals. + Complete assignments on or ahead of schedule and accomplishes assigned work in an organized, timely manner.
