Material Handler

Role Summary:

This job involves all aspects of material handling, including putting parts to stock locations from Receiving or Shop work orders, pulling parts for work orders and parts orders, accurately moving and transacting parts from one location to another, and cycle counting. All work needs to be performed safely, quickly, and accurately.

Ideal candidates will possess the ability to safely operate mobile equipment (forklifts, mobile lifts, etc.), work in a fast-paced production and warehousing environment and possess the ability to effectively use computers and other tools.

Work hours: Monday to Friday from 3 pm to 11:30 pm.

Location: Springville, UT.

Responsibilities:

Accurately pull parts for valve layouts, work orders, spare-parts orders, and/or parts request forms.Utilize RF scanners, computers, and various software applications to complete work.Putting parts to stock from Receiving, Shop work orders, and Incoming Inspection.Perform daily cycle counts.Support other departments with inventory needs and concerns.Be an active member of the team maintaining a positive, working atmosphere.Validating quantities, part numbers, and locations while ensuring parts are properly part-marked or labeled and that QA information is correct and legible. Sort and stage materials for downstream use in respective areas.Ensures parts are handled with care and stored in an aesthetically correct manner and that they are safe from surface damage.Report issues to Supervisor and necessary departments, including Purchasing, Planning, Quality, etc.Properly handle all document filing and archiving requirements.Follows all warehouse processes when performing work, while maintaining good housekeeping in all assigned work areas.Abides by all Flowserve safety requirements.Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

HS Diploma / GED or 1+ year of relevant experience.Familiarity / working knowledge of ERP systems.Have strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.Have a keen attention to detail.Intermediate or above computer skills, including effectively navigating multiple computer applications, tools, and types of electronic equipment.Able to work occasional overtime, including weekends and evenings.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk many steps throughout the day, kneel, twist, and bend.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Must be able and willing to move comfortably between competing tasks and priorities.Must be willing to learn and cross-train as needed throughout different functions.Must be able to multitask and work in a production environment that has multiple product changeovers.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

Previous related material handling and forklift experience.
