Job Description

Reporting to the Group Leader, Stockroom, load and unload stock by hand or by manual or power pallet truck and store received materials in required locations.  Process requisitions from Manufacturing cells and transport material to and from appropriate area with proper handling equipment. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Receive material and place it into inventory using proper handling tools.Participate in daily cycle count either by actual count or by processing counts through inventory system.Issue stock for Bills of Material.  Collect and stage parts requested.  Transport inventory to Manufacturing cells utilizing proper handling tools.Data entry, match paperwork to items and maintain location files.Process return inventory from Manufacturing cells.Determine proper method of shipment of service parts.Package accessories and related equipment for shipment.Responsible for integrity of the contents and markings of all containers.Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.

 

QualificationsCapable of walking or standing up to 95% of work time.  Lifting of materials up to 60 pounds as assigned by the Supervisor is required (35 pounds on a regular basis).Ability to read, write, count accurately, comprehend simple verbal instructions, and do basic mathematics; normally acquired through completion of a high school education.Basic interpersonal skills to deal effectively with production and department personnel.Ability to operate power pallet trucks.Ability to pay close attention to detail when processing Service requirements.After completing 3 months of work, $1,000 sign on bonus will be paid within 30 days.

Working Conditions:

Plant environment with frequent exposure to cold and warm weather conditions due to open dock doors.
