Responsibilities Observe all Safety precautions, Food Safety requirements and plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment. Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain good housekeeping. Supply machines with required and correct materials. Transport finished goods pallets to staging area as directed. Safely operate shrink wrap machines and document alarms or nonconformities as directed. Operate resin handling system including bulk rail car unloading system, silo, bin, storage, and conveying system from bins to machines. Transport nonconforming / rejected product to/from hold areas as required. Collect and move scrap items to the appropriate scrap area. Operate grinder, clear jams, clean grinding area, if applicable. Qualifications Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Capable of maintaining an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime. High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred. Negative drug screen test results. Capable of operating a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) in a safe and cautious manner. Must pass the PIT operator test and obtain a valid Berry PIT license.
