**Job Title: Material Handler**
**Job Description**
To provide shipping, receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and data entry services for finished goods, inventory, and equipment at the assigned facility(s).
**Responsibilities**
+ Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements while sustaining a high level of quality.
+ Receive materials and/or finished goods on a daily basis. Verify the quality, type, and amount of materials received are correct and ensure the appropriate documentation is present (e.g., packing list).
+ Safely operate distribution equipment, as required.
+ Satisfactorily complete training requirements and operate within all standards pertaining to site Distribution including, but not limited to, Control of Documents and Quality Policy.
+ Follow required Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) practices by completing training.
+ Respond to customer service and other external department inquiries regarding order requirements and/or fulfillment issues.
+ Operate RF Scanner for transactions.
**Essential Skills**
+ Inventory management
+ Picking and packing
+ General labor
+ RF scanner operation
+ Material handling
+ Forklift operation (must-have)
+ Experience with pallet jack
+ 1-2 years related experience
+ Functional knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures
+ Ability to understand, interpret, calculate, and analyze team metrics
+ Intermediate computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in logistics with a life science company preferred
+ Proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures, instructions, and meet schedules
+ Ability to operate powered industrial trucks and equipment at various heights

**Work Environment**
Works in a warehouse environment. Performs highly repetitive work involving walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 25lbs on a continuous basis. Regularly pushes and pulls up to 25lbs and occasionally lifts up to 50lbs. The noise level is usually moderate to high. Must be available to work any shift (with advance notice of shift change) and flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed. The work environment may involve varying degrees of stress throughout the day.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
