Material Handler
**Job Title: Material Handler - Roseville, MN** **Job Description** The Material Handler will unload semis, stage products, and handle materials after they have been cut to length. The individual will eventually learn plasma cutting and cut-to-length machine operation. The company supplies sheet metal products, cuts the metal to length, and ships it to customers. The Material Handler will support the operators with material handling and will learn to operate various equipment such as the cut-to-length line and plasma cutters to process orders for customers. **Responsibilities** + Unload semis and stage products. + Handle materials after they have been cut to length. + Support operators with material handling. + Learn and operate the cut-to-length line and plasma cutters. + Assist in processing orders for customers. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of manufacturing experience. + Willingness to learn. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with overhead crane operation. + Skills in picking, packing, general production, warehouse, material handling, loading, unloading, order picking, and general labor. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a 90-day contract to union with exceptional benefits. There is the opportunity to train and certify on various machines to increase wages once hired on directly. **Work Environment** The work environment is industrial and located in a very large warehouse. The warehouse was built to be big enough to build warships and has an old-school feel. Although workers are out of the elements, the building can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter due to constantly opening and closing doors. The benefits offered by the organization far outweigh the temperature challenges. The 1st shift runs from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and the 2nd shift runs from 2:20 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. Off shifts will train on the 1st shift for up to one month. The first day includes safety training and paperwork. Steel toe boots with metatarsal covers (non-detachable) are required. The position includes two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.87 - $27.05 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
