**Job Title: Material Handler**
**Job Description**
Load, unload, process, and store hazardous and nonhazardous waste materials at a permitted waste treatment facility. Process solid and liquid waste (NO bio hazard material / human waste). Operate a fork truck and Cat equipment. Use proper equipment to remove samples of materials for analysis.
**Responsibilities**
+ Load and unload hazardous and nonhazardous waste materials
+ Process solid and liquid waste using appropriate methods
+ Operate a fork truck and Cat equipment
+ Remove samples of materials for analysis using proper equipment
+ Follow safety guidelines and procedures for handling hazardous materials
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in shipping and receiving
+ Inventory management skills
+ Material handling
+ Forklift operation
+ General labor experience
+ Experience in production settings
+ Experience handling hazardous materials
+ HAZWOPER certification (24 or 40 hour)
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 1 year of related experience as a general laborer or material handler
+ Knowledge of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations
+ Experience working with hazardous materials preferred
+ 24 or 40 hour HAZWOPER certificate preferred (will be provided if not already obtained)

There are also opportunities for growth, starting as Material Handler I and progressing up to Material Handler III, with potential promotions within six months based on learning and work ethic. After reaching Material Handler III, you can advance to a Plant Lead role with three levels of progression.
**Work Environment**
The work environment is a hot, covered facility with open doorways to provide airflow. It can get hot in the summer. The shift in the summer is Monday-Friday, 5am-12:30pm, and in the winter, the shift will switch to 6am-2:30pm. There are very limited Saturdays required, but extra shifts may be available.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coolidge, Arizona.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00

**Workplace Type**
