Material Handler/Cherry Picker - Wood Dale, IL

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving inventory and products, including OEM equipment and raw materials such as metal and steel. This role involves operating a cherry picker, loading and unloading trucks manually or using a pallet jack, utilizing an RF scanner to ensure correct product movement, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed. Additional duties include palletizing, shrink wrapping, preparing products for transportation, and maintaining a clean work area.

ResponsibilitiesOperate a cherry picker. Move inventory and products, including OEM equipment and raw materials (metal/steel).Load and unload trucks by hand or using a pallet jack.Use an RF scanner to ensure the correct product is being moved.Lift 30-50 lbs when needed.Palletize, shrink wrap, and prepare products for transportation.Clean work area, perform break downs, and stage products.Additional Skills & QualificationsNo high school diploma or GED required.Experience with sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks.Work Environment

The role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The facility is located in Wood Dale, and the position is for the 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The company is a leading manufacturer of packing equipment. The candidate must be willing to perform various warehouse duties, including manual material handling, palletizing, labeling, and cleaning.
