**MATERIAL HANDLER** **_TAMARAC FL_** **Responsibilities:** + Keep our operations running by supplying necessary materials and removing completed inventory. + Gather and pick parts per production order. + Manage machine shop chip bins and sort materials into dumpsters. + Efficiently move materials between trucks, storage areas, and work cells. + Identify and manage work-in-progress (WIP) and partial deliveries. + Deliver finished goods to the correct bin locations for quantity verification. + Tag custom items with customer details and SAP part numbers. + Communicate with the Production Supervisor when workload exceeds capacity. + Collaborate on corrective actions and quality alerts. + Identify and manage bin locations for new products. + Coordinate the disposition of obsolete or unused products. + Suggest improvements to storage bins and strategies. + Notify the Supervisor or Plant Manager of overstock locations. + Verify delivered quantities against production and purchase orders. + Ensure accurate inventory in SAP when closing confirmations. + Assist in loading and unloading materials for welders. **Essential Skills:** + 1 year of material handling experience. + 2 years of forklift experience (sit-down required). + ERP experience, preferably with SAP. + High School Diploma or GED. + Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and ERP software. + Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Ability to move loads longer than 72 inches. + Keen attention to detail. + Ability to stand, sit, and move about the facility for 8+ hours per day. + Dexterity to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. + Coordination and motor skills for using power/hand tools. + Ability to carry 50 lbs. for 100 feet unassisted. **Why Work Here?** + Enjoy medical, dental, and vision benefits as a permanent employee. + Ample room for growth and a clear career path. + Be part of a supportive and collaborative team. **Work Environment:** + Typical manufacturing environment with non-climate controlled warehouse. + Safety PPE required: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, and hardhats. + No loose-fitting clothes or jewelry allowed. + Role involves standing, sitting, and moving about the facility, with the ability to lift and carry heavy loads. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00 • Medical, dental & vision • Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital • 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available • Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) • Short and long-term disability • Health Spending Account (HSA) • Transportation benefits • Employee Assistance Program • Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) **Workplace Type** This is a fully onsite position in Tamarac,FL. **Application Deadline** This position will be accepting applications until Jan 31, 2025. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
