**Now Hiring Material Handler in Glen Rock, PA!** 2nd shift: 2p-10:30p MUST be willing to train on 1st shift Pay: $20.35/hr **Job Description** This role is critical to our operations, involving the movement and management of materials within our facility. The successful candidate will train on the 1st shift and then transition to the 2nd shift, which includes a 10% differential pay during training. The job requires the use of sit-down forklifts and manual labor to maneuver raw materials and finished goods throughout the plant. **Responsibilities** + Perform a variety of material handling and inventory control tasks, including receiving raw material deliveries, preparing materials for production, transporting materials, and storing materials in appropriate warehouse areas. + Accurately perform work assignments and computer transactions required to adjust inventory. + Perform calculations using various units of measure. + Conduct visual inspections of all materials handled to ensure quality. + Utilize manual and power material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move and arrange materials. + Maintain workflow by ensuring the proper materials are provided in a timely manner. + Maintain a safe and clean work environment, and notify lead operators or supervisors of unsafe practices, conditions, or acts. + Follow SPARs, Work Instructions, and verbal instructions; seek assistance from lead operators or supervisors for problem resolution. + Communicate effectively with other associates, lead operators, and supervisors, and relay information to the next shift. + Receive and unpack materials and supplies. + Check receipts and bills of lading against purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects. + Complete required verifications and paperwork accurately and timely. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of high school education. + One year of experience in a related area. + Experience operating sit-down forklifts. + Proficiency with computers. + Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and consult with lead operators or supervisors as needed. + Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, crouching, and lifting items over 50 pounds. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of inventory management systems. + Experience with material handling equipment. + Strong communication and teamwork skills. + Ability to perform calculations using various units of measure. + Attention to detail and ability to conduct visual inspections. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.35 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
