**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** Our client manufactures ergonomic ladders used to make fleet vehicles safer. This position will help move product around the warehouse and in the shipping and receiving department using forklifts (sit-down) and pallet jacks. The role includes keeping the production areas stocked and moving finished products to be prepared for shipping. Candidates must be comfortable doing order picking of smaller parts using paper pick sheets, as the company is in the process of adding an RF Scanner system to replace the paper pick sheets. **Responsibilities** + Move products around the warehouse and in the shipping and receiving department using forklifts (sit-down) and pallet jacks. + Keep production areas stocked and move finished products to be prepared for shipping. + Work off of paper pick sheets and transition to using an RF Scanner system. + If working in the receiving area: Unload truckloads of material, organize it in the correct spot in the receiving area, and tag the material appropriately. + Assist in bringing material to machine operators to keep the machines running with the correct material specified for the job. + If working in the warehouse by the assembly department: Receive a pick sheet with needed items, use a forklift to bring down the correct pallet of material, order pick, build the pallet, and bring it to the assembly area. + Assist the shipping department when needed and perform cycle counts during downtime. **Essential Skills** + Material handling + Order picking + Forklift operating (stand-up or sit-down) + Shipping and receiving experience + Inventory management + General labor + Proficiency with RF scanners + Loading and pallet jack operation **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proficiency on computers + Any additional shipping experience is a plus **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a brand-new facility that opened within the past five years. The facility is not temperature-controlled and can get hot during the summer. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
