**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks and vans, which may require the use of a sit-down forklift or manual lifting of up to 50 lbs. The role involves picking and selecting specific customer orders based on written instructions. While we prefer candidates with over 2 years of experience, we are open to considering those with other relevant competencies. **Responsibilities** + Load and unload trucks and vans using a sit-down forklift or manual lifting. + Pick and select specific customer orders according to written instructions. + Perform shipping and receiving tasks. + Handle inventory, including cycle counts and data entry. + Utilize RF scanners and pallet jacks for warehouse operations. + Ensure accurate and timely data entry for shipping, primarily through UPS and FedEx. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience in a warehouse setting. + 6+ months of forklift experience. + 1+ year of material handling experience. + 6+ months of experience with computer or inventory systems, specifically UPS or FedEx. + High school education or equivalent. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with SAP and domestic shipping. + Ability to lift over 65 lbs. + Proficiency in using RF scanners and pallet jacks. + Basic data entry skills. **Why Work Here?** You will have the opportunity to work in a smaller size warehouse where everyone pulls their own weight and contributes to the team. You should dress appropriately for the weather as it can get chilly when the doors are open. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some flexibility required during the week. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NEW BRITAIN, Connecticut. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
