Dixon Boss is looking for a Material Handler to join our team in Chestertown, MD!
The material handler will be responsible for transporting parts and components from their location to the appropriate areas within the manufacturing center. This person will need to keep up with demand and supply work centers consistently throughout the day. This individual will also learn all areas of the receiving and shipping department so that they can be a back-up and well-rounded in everyday functions of the material handler for the factory. This includes the use of an overhead crane and various walk behind and ride on fork trucks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate weight and count scale Outsource material from factory to warehouse on a daily bases Rectify inventory issues Use proper materials for job (pallet, box) when packing material Create manifests for shipping to outside vendors Communicate with warehouse and factory shuttle drivers when material needs to move Work with clamp department doing material related functions to keep production flowing Help pre-pack department when time permits Help out other material handler on factory floor by taking out cardboard, empty cages, wash parts and move parts to next location Other duties as assigned
