Our client, a leading logistics provider, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the operations team supporting efficient inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Material Handler
**Location:** Pembroke Park, FL
**Pay Range:** $17-$18hr
**What's the Job?**
+ Perform operational and safety checks to ensure equipment is safe to operate.
+ Review work orders and follow instructions to pull and stage components accurately.
+ Utilize FIFO (first in/first out) system to manage inventory effectively.
+ Load and unload materials from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area while complying with safety guidelines.
**What's Needed?**
+ Basic math skills to assist with inventory management.
+ Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
+ Must pass in-company forklift driver training and demonstrate safe handling.
+ Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform tasks requiring considerable use of arms and legs.
+ Strong attention to detail to prevent injuries and ensure safety compliance.
+ 2-3 years of Reach Truck Operator experience
+ Bilingual Spanish/English
