Job Summary: Under the direction of the Assembly Manager, the Material Lead will help to monitor production jobs and material usage related to the Assembly Group in accordance with RPO Business Objectives. You Will: + Work with Supervisors to actively maintain production jobs in Epicor ERP for accurate part and material counts. + Work with Planning and Supply Chain to ensure timely material delivery and make material requests. + Support stocking material to appropriate location in Assembly department. + Support processing and organizing non-conforming material. + Order supplies pertinent to the optical assembly group to meet RPO business objectives. You Have: + GED, High School Diploma, or Equivalent. + Experience in material handling or inventory control in a manufacturing environment preferred. Physical Demands: + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms and to use hands and fingers to handle, maneuver parts + The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear + The job may involve prolong periods of sitting/standing + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May involve prolonged periods of magnified inspection (eye strain) + Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp + The employee is frequently required to use the computer + The job may require regular lifting of up to 50 lbs. + Job requires flexibility in schedule and potential overtime or weekend work Work Environment: + May involve the use of oils and solvents. + Subject to some soilage and irritation from cleaning solutions. (Lab Coats provided) + Generally, works in a clean environment and works to maintain the environment as such. + Safety Glasses are required + May require area specific safety training + This position works in a manufacturing environment.
