Material Handler
Job Title: Material HandlerWEEKLY PAY!!!! PAY: $20-24

ResponsibilitiesOperate a forklift, jib crane, and overhead hoist. Safely rig lifts and move loads.Operate forklifts indoors and outdoors to load and unload material in all departments, load trucks, maintain job lanes, organize, and transport inventory.Unload and receive incoming LTL and Flatbed Trucks.Pull materials for production as needed and complete appropriate paperwork to relieve inventory and to assign your time.Monitor and organize indoor and outdoor inventory. Ensure racking and equipment piles are neat and orderly.Work with drivers to position and maneuver trucks in accordance with best freight unloading practices.Properly record and maintain information on project documents such as bill of material or parts sales order.Verify the count of received items against the packing list and note any discrepancies. Report discrepancies to your supervisor.Deliver verified packing lists to your supervisor.Label all incoming items with company part number, if applicable.Adhere to safety standards and use of PPE at all times.Keep the inside material storage area and outside yard clean, organized, stocked, and consolidated.Assist with fabrication, grinding, and manufacturing tasks as assigned.Essential Skills1-2 years of forklift operation experienceExperience utilizing reach trucks, loading, pallet jacks, unloading, sit-down forklifts, shipping and receiving, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks1-2 years of experience with loading and unloading equipmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to safely operate and rig liftsAttention to detail for maintaining records and verifying countsStrong organizational skills to keep inventory and storage areas neat and orderlyAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility with 15-20 employees in the shop. The work environment is open-concept, and you will be expected to spend time both indoors and outdoors. Proper attire for varying weather conditions is necessary, and adherence to safety standards and the use of PPE is required at all times.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
