Material Handler
**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** A typical day in this position involves cycle counts, data entry, forklift driving, saw operation, and efficient use of computer systems. Safety is the top priority at all times. **Responsibilities** + Operate forklifts in a safe and efficient manner + Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records + Handle materials and ensure proper storage and organization + Utilize computer systems for data entry and inventory management + Operate saws and other machinery as needed + Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures **Essential Skills** + Forklift operation + Warehouse experience + Material handling + Computer knowledge + Math and reading skills (utilizing a ruler) + Cycle counting **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with RF scanners + Experience in shipping and receiving + Ability to read blueprints + Experience in construction or related fields + Experience with water jet machinery + High School Diploma or GED required + Minimum of 1 year of warehouse and production experience in a metals facility or manufacturing-related facility **Why Work Here?** This is a solid organization that has doubled in employee size over the last 3-5 years. The pay scales are highly competitive once you become a permanent employee. **Work Environment** The work environment is a production facility with high expectations for production numbers and efficiencies. The facility employs 150-160 full-time employees (FTEs). The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, steel-toed shoes, and personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the employer. Shifts are as follows: 1st shift from 6am-2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm-10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm-6am. Employees are required to work 7 days a week for at least the next 3 months, with 1 Sunday off per month (every 21 working shifts). **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Park City, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $20.20/hr.
