Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to provide excellent customer service by ensuring that orders are pulled, packaged, converted, shipped, and loaded accurately and free from visible damage or defect.

ResponsibilitiesPull, pack, stage, or convert orders for shipment using computer-generated work orders or verbal instructions from the supervisor.Package material for shipment according to shipping requirements and/or customer-specified instructions. Ensure that all product/shipping labels are legible.Include job and order numbers on order tickets.Use computer equipment to generate labels, check stock, input data for shipping status, prepare UPS/FedEx shipments, and create shipping manifests.Load or unload trucks, ensuring the truck is chocked before unloading/loading, truck bed is clear of debris, incoming product is free from damage and matches packing lists, and freight is properly positioned and secured in the truck.Essential SkillsForklift operationOrder pickingMaterial handlingInventory management2+ years of warehouse experience1+ years of stand-up forklift experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsOrder picking experience (preferred)Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work in a 130,000 square foot warehouse that is continuing to grow. While there is no air conditioning, large fans are used to maintain a comfortable work environment. The shift available is from 2 PM to 10 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hazelwood, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.50/hr.
