Material Handler
**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** Seeking a material handler who will perform various duties including, but not limited to, safely operating a forklift, completing daily inspections, and accurately logging work completed and/or materials moved according to work orders within AS400 / Netsuite inventory tracking software. **Responsibilities** + Safely operate a forklift (in-house Power Industrial Truck Operator training provided to become licensed) + Complete daily forklift inspections + Accurately log work completed and/or materials moved according to work orders within AS400 / Netsuite + Conduct Stock to Stock transactions in AS400 / Netsuite + Load and unload trucks and trailers at the loading docks + Transport parts and raw materials to various welding/fabricating cells and other parts of the department + Move finished parts and products from weld/fabrication cells to specified areas in the warehouse for shipping + Organize inventory and finished products in specified areas of the warehouse using an RF scanner + Palletize and band products using a banding tool and stretch wrapper **Essential Skills** + Forklift operation + Materials handling + Warehouse inventory management + Shipping and receiving + Order picking + Assembly + Inventory tracking + Picking and packing + General labor + Production + RF scanner operation + Loading and unloading + Packaging + Pallet jack operation + General production + Sitdown forklift operation + Stand-up forklift operation + Reach truck operation **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 6 months+ forklift operating experience + 6 months+ inventory experience with RF scanning + 6 months+ warehouse/manufacturing/production experience + Prior experience with shipping & receiving/inventory systems is a plus + Ability to physically move parts around, including lifting up to 25-50 lbs + Capability to stand or walk about 90% of the time while on the clock **Why Work Here?** Competitive salary and benefits, including time off benefits, retirement and 401K plans, company-provided life, short-term and long-term disability insurance, flexible work schedules, medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, career path training, and a temperature-controlled facility. Dress Code: Casual, jeans and t-shirt that is appropriate; safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection will be provided. Steel-toed boots are required. Environment: Large facility divided into manufacturing, shipping/receiving, assembly, and testing areas for car washes. Work may be required in any of these areas, with movement between the main Ryko building and the James Street location (about 1/2 mile west). **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grimes, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
