**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** Candidates will start by training for a month doing general clean-up, learning color codes for steel, placement in the warehouse, and training on the crane based on previous crane experience. Candidates must be able comfortable in an inside/outside role. Candidates must be okay with exposure to the elements, running indoor and outdoor cranes, and performing all functions to include housekeeping that comes with the role as they could be placed on one particular crane that stores materials outside. **Responsibilities** + Training for a month in general clean-up and learning color codes for steel. + Operating indoor and outdoor cranes. + Performing housekeeping functions as required. + Pulling beams and loading flatbed trailers and railcars, including rigging and getting up onto the backs of flatbeds. + Receiving inventory and moving materials to the loaders via overhead crane. + Filling out shipping reports and bills of lading and documenting all outgoing loads. + Adhering to all safety rules, including not walking in between stacks and always being visible to other associates. + Potentially training to be a saw or brake operator, forklift operator, steel bending machine, or beam saw/cutter operator. **Essential Skills** + Warehouse inventory management. + Heavy industry experience. + Banding and loading materials. + Equipment operation, including cranes and truck loading. + Machine operating, forklift, bobcat, and overhead crane operation. + Rigging and sheet metal experience. + Ability to read a tape measure. + Ability to operate equipment effectively and safely. + Experience with heavy equipment in construction or similar work to steel. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Overhead crane experience in heavy industry or military. + Experience in construction or a related field. **Why Work Here?** Employees start at a competitive hourly rate with opportunities for shares and promotions.
