Our client in Edgewood, MD, is seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse duties, including receiving, handling, packing/unpacking, sorting, checking, and shipping a diverse range of materials and parts. This role involves the use of receiving scales, scanners, keyboards, and a sit-down forklift.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, handle (both manually and automatically), pack/unpack, sort, check, and ship materials and parts.Inspect incoming materials and parts for visual condition and quality.Locate stock and fill requisitions accurately and efficiently.Report stock depletion and assist in maintaining inventory levels.Complete necessary paperwork by company guidelines.Operate a sit-down forklift safely and responsibly.

Qualifications:

Previous warehouse experience is required.Must be Forklift certifiedExperience operating a sit-down forklift is essential.Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as receiving scales, scanners, and keyboards.Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.Good communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay Rate/Shifts:

$17.25 to $20.00 per hourMonday to Friday6:00 AM to 2:30 PMOR7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
