**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team in Elk Grove Village, IL. The successful candidate will be responsible for counting, weighing, and verifying incoming materials and supplies, as well as handling various shipping and receiving tasks. **Responsibilities** + Count, weigh, and verify incoming materials and supplies against packing lists, bills of lading, work orders, and receivers. + Assemble and verify UPS, FedEx, internal, and other carriers' shipping and receiving logs, manifests, bills of lading, including data entry and ensuring the forwarding of completed documents to the appropriate locations. + Assemble, verify, and package for shipment customer orders and purchase orders for outside processing. + Maintain appropriate shipping supplies inventories. + Provide material handling support and ensure that materials are piled, stacked, and stored safely. + Arrange for the most cost-effective and efficient manner for shipments. + Maintain a safe and clean work environment. + Process work orders and issue parts as needed. + Process service orders. + Process and track outside processing. + Lift up to 75 lbs. + Work as part of a team. + Perform other duties as assigned by management. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish + Proficient with computers. + Experience with UPS/FedEx shipping and receiving. + Ability to lift 50-75 lbs twice a day. + Ability to speak both English and Spanish. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience operating a sit-down forklift. + Inventory management experience. + Experience with AS400 system. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that values quality, quantity, attendance, and teamwork. The dress code requires closed-toed shoes, but steel-toed shoes or glasses are not required. The company operates four buildings in the area, and employees will be working in the warehouse. Shorts are not allowed as part of the dress code. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
