Our division consists of four global brands with a shared mission – to be your trusted partner for product decoration. **POSITION SUMMARY:** Located in Carol Stream, IL. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting in shipping, picking, and preparing outgoing orders, receiving, and distributing all incoming inventory, and handle materials to be stocked or re-ordered. This position will be trained in all aspects of the Shipping and Receiving department to meet department goals. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** **Shipping Duties:** + Prioritize shipments according to shipping date, shipping method and customer ranking. Note lot numbers on slips per instruction. + Accurately pack all materials including related SDS sheets as necessary. Pack products per regulations and customer shipping requirements including bar code labels, material certifications, custom labeling, etc. + Verify accuracy of product numbers, quantities and shipping locations per the packing slip. + Complete all shipping related paperwork accurately and efficiently. + Post material transfers per procedures. + Load outbound trucks. + Track material shipments as requested by customers or customer service. **Receiving Duties:** + Answer dock door and unload all incoming deliveries. + Accurately and efficiently receive incoming inks, printing pads, printing plates, and related combinations thereof. + Verify accuracy of product numbers, quantities, lot #’s and expiration dates for all incoming orders. + Deliver product to appropriate department. **Warehouse Duties:** + Daily Picking List printing + Daily order picking + Maintain Ink warehouse + Accurately and efficiently stock incoming material into ink warehouse. + Rotate stock to assure FIFO. + Coordinate cardboard collection and recycling. + Coordinate monthly disposal of HAZMAT waste ink and thinners. + Restocking departmental supplies on daily/weekly basis (supply dependent). + Assist with re-ordering of materials as required. **General Duties of the Position:** + Perform regular housekeeping of the work area. + Cross train in department for all duties and proper operating procedures. + Maintain any department equipment regularly. + Become certified to ship HAZMAT products for Ground, Air, and Ocean shipments (DOT, IATA. IMDG). + Become certified on ITW forklifts + Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20, PLS, and USa principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management. + All other duties as assigned **POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS** **Education:** High School, a trade school degree in a related area preferred, or demonstrated experience. **Experience/Skills:** + Basic mathematical skills + Basic computer skills, including using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + A minimum of 1 year previous work experience in manufacturing, or equivalent field experience + Familiarity with computer applications (for shipping purposes) + Ability to read and understand standard shipping documents + Good communication skills required to follow direction and work in a team + Good verbal communication skills - ability to call and speak with a customer or supplier + Ability to read and understand English **OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS:** **Physical/Visual Activities or Demands:** Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. + While performing the duties of this job, the employee will constantly (67% - 100%) be required to twist/turn, stand, walk, and grasp, and frequently (34% - 66%) be required to bend/squat, crawl, handle and manipulate small items.
