Job Description
Operates powered industrial truck/lift truck. Move, organize and maintain inventory of 500 or more material pallets. Receive new pallet shipments from suppliers. Inspect and remove damaged units from inventory. Inform purchasing manager of needs for new purchases. Perform daily lift truck inspection.

Follow all plant rules and safety rulesFollow housecleaning and sanitation rulesReport all accidents and injuries to supervisor immediatelyReport all unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor immediatelySafety glasses must be worn at all times in the plantWear hearing protection at all timesKnow lock out/tag out proceduresApply lock out/tag out prior to entering machine-Example: clearing jam ups, cleaning hotplates.Always wear Kevlar gloves when working with anything sharp.Apply proper lifting technique when lifting any material.Know and use the proper protection equipment for the job.Must maintain all tools in good working condition, and must notify supervisor when repairs or replacement is needed.Be cautious when walking on conveyor rollers, and use crossovers.Keep machine area clean.Know the locations of fire extinguishers, fire hoses and alarms.
Job Qualifications:
Maintain lift truck operator license; attend four hours annual training for renewalSafe Work Practice certification and one hour annual trainingExcellent hand-eye and foot-eye coordination for safe operation of lift truckPhysical agility to turn and twist neck and torso up to 60 times per hourBasic math skills to counting extensive inventoryMaintain safe work environment for operator and other workersOperate truck and move material in a safe and professional manner in outdoor environment
The starting rate for this position is $17.17, depending on your role, level and location.
