Material Handler
We have an outstanding Contract position for aMaterial Handlerto join a leading Company located in theMarysville, WAsurrounding area. Pay Rate: $20 The duties of this job are to ensure that all of the materials used in the production of panels are controlled, verified, and delivered to the production team in a timely manner to support on-time delivery to our planned dates. Material handlers are also responsible for the department's hazardous waste control and disposition. Responsibilities : + Verify, withdraw, and deliver materials to the production line in a timely manner to support the production schedule board. + Ensure that materials are FIFO and track exposure units on temperature-sensitive materials. + Must be able to ensure accurate inventory for the department. + Perform cycle counting of highly used materials. + Other duties include receiving and storing production materials, palletizing materials or products, etc. + Handle the disposal of hazardous waste materials for the department. + Forklift operation is required (training provided). + May be required to be a certified forklift trainer. + Active participation in operational improvement activities. + Willing to cross-train or transfer to other departments as needed. + Other tasks are needed, and flexibility is key. + Willing to work overtime as needed; this may include weekends. Basic Hiring Criteria : + High school diploma or equivalent. + Minimum 2 years of relevant, steady work history is preferred, manufacturing a plus. + Candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug screen. + Safely and effectively operate a forklift (training provided). + Have a sincere desire to work and be able to work independently or with a team to complete tasks in a timely manner . + Lift 50 + pounds frequently throughout the shift. + Prior inventory control experience is a plus. + Understand and follow procedures/practices. + Be flexible and able to react quickly to changing situations. + Able to learn and effectively apply all requirements established by our quality assurance. + Good basic math skills. + Good reading comprehension to follow work orders. + Legible handwriting/printing. + Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
