We have an outstanding Contract position for a Material Handler to join a leading Company located in the Marysville, WA surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $20
The duties of this job are to ensure that all of the materials used in the production of panels are controlled, verified, and delivered to the production team in a timely manner to support on-time delivery to our planned dates. Material handlers are also responsible for the department's hazardous waste control and disposition.
Responsibilities:Verify, withdraw, and deliver materials to the production line in a timely manner to support the production schedule board.Ensure that materials are FIFO and track exposure units on temperature-sensitive materials.Must be able to ensure accurate inventory for the department.Perform cycle counting of highly used materials.Other duties include receiving and storing production materials, palletizing materials or products, etc.Handle the disposal of hazardous waste materials for the department.Forklift operation is required (training provided).May be required to be a certified forklift trainer.Active participation in operational improvement activities.Willing to cross-train or transfer to other departments as needed.Other tasks are needed, and flexibility is key.Willing to work overtime as needed; this may include weekends.
Basic Hiring Criteria:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 2 years of relevant, steady work history is preferred, manufacturing a plus.Candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.Safely and effectively operate a forklift (training provided).Have a sincere desire to work and be able to work independently or with a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.Lift 50 + pounds frequently throughout the shift.Prior inventory control experience is a plus.Understand and follow procedures/practices.Be flexible and able to react quickly to changing situations.Able to learn and effectively apply all requirements established by our quality assurance.Good basic math skills.Good reading comprehension to follow work orders.Legible handwriting/printing.Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
