Leidos currently has an opening for a Material Handler to support the Advanced Battle Management System’s (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Network Manager program. In this mission we support the Department of Air Force’s (DAF) to field and operate the ABMS Digital Infrastructure. The Material Handler will be responsible for supporting logistics planning, warehouse functions, software license tracking and customer engagement of kit distribution.
ABMS is a top modernization priority for the DAF and will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across the Department of Defense. That broader effort is known as Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). As envisioned, JADC2 will allow U.S. forces from all services — as well as allies and partners — to sense, make sense and act upon a vast array of data and information faster than adversaries can detect and respond
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate and perform the shipment of kits, COMSEC and Classified equipment ensuring timely and accurate deliveriesProvide management ad hoc status on warehouse stocking levels and status of material Conduct daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, storage, and organization of goods and kitsAdhere to warehouse safety protocols and maintain compliance with relevant regulations with handling of unclassified and classified componentsMaintain an efficient inventory management system, ensuring accurate records and tracking of goodsCollaborate with procurement and transportation teams to optimize the flow of materials and minimize delaysCoordinate with internal teams to fulfill order requests and maintain optimal stock levelsWork with the product support team with information and reports that will feed into Logistics Product DataVerify daily tracking of incoming and outgoing shipment to avoid delays and loss of property in transitConduct regular audits of warehouse inventory and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiencyResolve any issues related to shipments, storage, or warehouse operations swiftly and effectivelyGenerate reports on warehouse performance and logistics metrics for management reviewMaintain records of software licenses, track expiration dates, and provide timely reports to managementEnsure compliance with company policies, ITAR regulations, hazmat shipping requirements, and other industry standardsBasic Qualifications
Must possess a Secret clearance with eligibility for upgrade to TS/SCI Must be U.S. Citizen High School diploma and 3+ years of relevant experienceExperience in preparing and packaging kitted assets for shipment according to contract requirements or customer requirementsExperience in conducting regular inventory audits and cycle countsKnowledge of DoD material handling standardsMaintain accurate inventory records and track assets through warehouse management systemProficiency in warehouse management systems and inventory tracking softwareExperience handling and managing IT equipmentWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookDemonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of ABMS DINMKnowledge of ITAR, Customs regulations, or hazardous materials handlingProven experience in warehouse operations and coordinating complex shipmentsStrong understanding of inventory management and supply chain processesProficiency in warehouse management softwareFamiliarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operationsPreferred Qualifications
