Material Handler (CZ)
**Material Handler (CZ)** This Material Handler position will be responsible for following complex, detailed procedures and documentation to complete work orders safely, without defect, and on time, by strategically placing poly silicon pieces into a crucible according to specific requirements contained in a computerized work order in a clean room environment. This position will be working a 12-hour Night Shift, 6pm to 6am, on a compressed workweek alternating 3-ON/4-OFF and 4-ON/3-OFF weekly schedules which require working every other weekend and will likely entail additional overtime days when needed. The Night Shift earns an additional 15% shift differential pay incentive. Operators work in an environment requiring use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clothing in the production area which will include safety glasses, Nitrile gloves, apron with sleeves, composite toe safety shoes and hair and/or beard net are required. Must wear required gowning for inside and outside of production area; cleanroom "bunny" suit, coverall, 2-piece uniform, or smock. Use of earplugs is optional. Other additional PPE can be required depending on task: cotton gloves, cut resistant gloves. Additional Essential Job Functions will include: PHYSICAL: *****Must be able to work in magnetic field work environment***** **- Must be medically cleared by a doctor to to work in a magnetic field work environment IF any foreign metal objects are embedded in the body and/or IF any use of metallic or electronic medical devices such as metal implants, pacemakers, hearing aids, diabetic pumps, etc.** - Standing, walking and frequent use of stairs for long periods are required - Must be able to work overtime when required for on-call, vacation, absences, or other mandatory coverages. - Exerts in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 lbs of force constantly to more objects , often walking, standing, in motion while performing these tasks - Pushes a cart on wheels weighing approx. 20 lbs, & occasionally up to approx. 275 lbs. - Cuts open, lifts, moves approx. 11 lbs. of poly silicon rock pieces in a bag up to approx. 300 times during a 12 hour shift - Move an average of 4,400 lbs of material within a 12 hr period twice (loading & unloading) from a flat work surface onto a cart and then into a crucible to build a charge at or above waist level without mechanical assistance - Excerpts pressure on robotic equipment buttons to stop, start, command movements or actions - Kneeling, bending and crouching positions and potentially lifting parts and use of hand tools in such positions may be required - Repetitive motion, grasping, reaching, pushing and pulling - Ability to work around hazardous and or volatile chemicals. COGNITIVE: - Review work orders and set a schedule of when various completed crucible orders are needed, according to customer required specifications and processing times for each crucible. - Use a computer keyboard to input data, track and confirm each process, and complete computerized forms and labels for each order, complete requests for delivery of materials and equipment per work order and schedule requirements. - Continuously monitor, analyze, and verify that all data and all processes are correct and meet quality, order specifications, weights, calibrations, during each process and after each process is completed, before moving the order on to the next process step. - Place and/or pour poly silicon pieces from an open bag into a crucible of the correct size, per work order instructions. - Operate robotic equipment to lift, unload, raise, lower, transport material, products, other equipment. - Perform tasks to clean equipment and the area to meet clean room standards for that area. - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages and decimals using a calculator SAFETY: - Ability to understand & follow all safety regulations - Basic safety knowledge, including use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) related to the process. - Ability to fully understand danger points in the process - Use Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) system to ensure machine is de-energized when required - Operator may be subjected to hazards including being close to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, scaffolding, heights, underground or low depths, and chemicals. - High heat parts up to 350 degrees, and high voltages (480 volts) per machine VISUAL ACUITY: - Close vision within arms length (<2 feet) required - Prepare/analyze/create data through extensive reading, visual inspection of small parts, errors, defects, fabrication, words, and numbers TECHNICAL SKILLS: - Experienced and accurate in the use of a computer, keyboard, and a monitor and in software use, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, E-mail, or other similar software - Experience with touch screen or control panel preferred - Can operate a calculator, copier, scanner, cell phone, and telephone - Filing, paperwork, use document system to retrieve needed documents - Use and answer a desk telephone, use of email to communicate with others LANGUAGE SKILLS: - Must have ability to communicate effectively in English with management and co-workers - Must have ability to read and write in English - Ability to create, read, comprehend or explain instructions, procedures, technical and informational manuals, reports, correspondence for self and for others **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
