Material Handler/Forklift Operator
**Material Handler/Forklift – $20.00 P/H** Whats in it for you? + $20.00 P/H + 6pm-2am + Paid training + Full time hours What will you be doing? + Operate forklift in a safe manner at all times, and hold a valid Forklift Operator’s certificate. + Operate a pick crane to unload and load containers. + Operate a terminal tractor (yard goat). + Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams with swivel-hooks, hoists or elevating platform, to load, unload, transport, or stack material. + Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices or other transport vehicles. + Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank. + Dispatch of truck drivers (back-up), answers phones, filing, inspects order and delivery paperwork for accuracy, assist Logistics Manager with reporting and shipment planning schedule What do you bring? + Must have a valid Class A driver license + High School Diploma or Equivalent + Minimum 2yrs operating power industrial equipment (e.g. forklift, cranes, etc) + Must be able to work overtime when required, including weekends and holidays + Must be bilingual English and Spanish + Computer literacy – Outlook, Word, Excel + Must be precise and pay attention to details Physical requirements: some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, twisting, bending and lifting.
