Material Handler Forklift Operator
**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling and documenting materials, filling liquids and powders into tanks, and ensuring accurate measurements. You will also be required to operate forklifts and follow GMP and safety guidelines. **Responsibilities** + Will be utilizing warehouse equipment including the forklift (stand-up and sit-down, depending on the duties completing) + Use computer systems and handle related documentation. + Use scales to measure liquids according to formulas, while assisting in replenishment of production + Select appropriate tanks based on manufacturing requirements and batch size. + Pick required raw materials from the warehouse and scan using barcode scanners. + Stage and add materials to tanks as per work order instructions. + Pack orders according to sales orders, ensuring accurate weight and correct sifter screens and labels are used. + Operate forklifts to move products around the production floor. + Follow GMP, safety guidelines, and procedures. + Assist in different departments as needed. **Essential Skills** + Experience in receiving products using stand-up and sit-down forklifts. + Ability to retrieve and return raw materials using ERP and handheld barcode scanners. + Conduct cycle counting on raw materials. + Experience in warehouse settings or logistics with material handling equipment. + Knowledge of Forklift Safety, Respirator Protection, Lock-out Training, and GMP. **Why Work Here?** In today’s world, employee benefits are an essential part of a compensation package. The work hours are 1st Shift, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Candidates must be comfortable with GMP standards, including wearing full beard nets and hair nets. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NORTHBROOK, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
