Position Summary:

The Material Handler I is responsible for specialized tasks in manufacturing to assure that production lines have an adequate supply of components and work cell uptime is maximized.

Location: Kalamazoo, MI

What you will be doing:

Wrap and stage finished good pallets in warehouseProvide components to each work center along routeRemove cardboard / trash from work centers each shiftFill hoppers with caps and jars, when necessary and availableAssist team in line clearance activities, when necessary and availableLift heavy items and operate forklift, pallet mover, and/or order processor/selectorAbility to wear fall protection, as needed, and comply with fall protection standardsResponsible for 5S and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) related to keeping a clean and safe work environmentFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as documented and trainedWill perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Skills you will need:

High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to lift, push and/or pull, up to 50 lbsMust be able to speak, read, and write (legibly) in the English languageMust have basic computer skillsAbility to be respirator trainedAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable and maintain a positive attitudeAbility to clearly document required informationAbility to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as documented and trainedExperience with working in chemical manufacturing, preferredAbility to work overtime as required
