Position Overview

We are seeking a Material Handler for filling orders by preassembling individual items into ready-to-ship kits instead of picking and packing those individual items as orders are received is known as material handling. Specifically, material handling involves a process where separate but related items are grouped, packaged, and supplied together as one unit.  This position will be in Stuart, FL.

Essential Functions:

Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.Packaging parts for making accessory kits and product kitsDeliver goods to correct areaAssemble orders and prepares goods for shipment and record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability  Perform inventory control functionsComply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelinesOperates a forklift when neededAbility to process orders within the website of UPS, FedEx, etc. Operate paper and bubble wrap machinesUse of hand and power toolsGeneral house keeping of workstationFollow all production and priority schedules providedAll other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, preferredAt least one year in a manufacturing or material handling roleMust be able to work from pick lists and/or work ordersMust follow procedures and follow directions exactlyExcellent communication skillsMust be able to read and understand bill of materialsMust have extreme accuracy and focusClear communication is extremely important

Workplace Conditions:

Non-A/C work area; the noise level can periodically be higher than normal, hearing protection may be requiredWhile performing duties of the job, incumbent is required to stand for full shift; walk; sit; use hand to finger handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusShift is Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm
